Our Department of Internal Veterinary Medicine is supervised by Geert Paes, European specialist in internal pet animals (dipl. ECVIM-ca). Together with highly differentiated veterinarians and vet nurses, the internal department is run.
The team sees a wide range of non-surgical cases. Such as vomiting, diarrhea, excessive thirst, unexplained weight loss or weight gain, anemia and fever. Cardiology also falls within this discipline.
These cases benefit from more extensive experience and advanced diagnostics such as those at hand, such as laboratory diagnostics, endoscopy, ultrasound, CT and MRI.
Within the team, sub-specialties are divided and each veterinarian has extensive experience in the own sub-area and an extensive network for consultation if necessary. If a patient needs surgery, it is transferred to the soft tissue surgeon.
Patients with internal complaints are, more often than other patients, admitted for further diagnoses in our admissions department where 24/7 care is available. Costs are discussed with the client as much as possible in advance.
